Kim Marie Thronson, a cherished wife, sister, and friend, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Born on October 13, 1962, in Whitehall, Wisconsin, Kim was a beacon of warmth and resilience to all who knew her. Kim was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Romelle Marie Wiench Christianson. Her childhood in Whitehall was filled with the love and laughter of her family. She graduated from Whitehall High School in 1981, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life dedicated to hard work and genuine connections. On September 16, 2006, Kim married the love of her life, Todd Thronson. Together, they built a life rich in love and companionship. Kim embraced her role as a stepmother to Ashley Felstad, Travis Thronson, and Kayla Bautch, nurturing them with kindness and an open heart. Kim had an adventurous spirit and a deep passion for horseback riding. She relished the freedom of the trails, often accompanied by her many friends. Known for her lively sense of humor, Kim was never shy to give as good as she got, endearing her to everyone she met. She is survived by her devoted husband, Todd Thronson; her sisters, Diane Estenson (Barry), Jane Pelke (Dennis), Kari Klomsten (John), and Debbie Hegland Fromm (Gary); stepchildren, Ashley Felstad (John), Travis Thronson, and Kayla Bautch (Jesse); her mother-in-law, Jerrianne Thronson, and many nieces and nephews.
