November 8, 1956 — October 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kim Marie Davis on October 4, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on November 8, 1956, in New Orleans, Kim lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. A resident of Kenner, Louisiana, she was surrounded by her cherished family as she peacefully departed this world after a prolonged illness. Kim leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy, survived by her devoted son, Henri Bax, and her treasured grandchildren, Neveah Bax, Carmen Bax, Henri Bax Jr., Preston Bax Jr., Preston 3rd, and Jonathan. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her loving sister, Suzette, and brother-in-law, Jose Reyes, as well as her brothers Gary, Don, Kevin, and Kyle Davis. Her cousin, Katonya Ganier, and a multitude of cousins from the Bazanac and Diaz families, along with many dear nieces, & nephews from Davis and Shamah family, friends and neighbors, also mourn her loss. Kim was the daughter of the late Henry Charles and Dolores Diaz Davis. She was a woman of remarkable spirit, known for her quick wit and the ability to bring laughter to any room she entered. A practicing Catholic, she found solace and community at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner. An expert chef, Kim had a passion for cooking, especially Creole cuisine, which she shared generously with everyone she loved. Her love for gardening and visiting casinos were just some of the interests that brought her joy and relaxation. A service to honor Kim's beautiful life will be held on 19 October, 12 noon at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral, located at 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. Family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and humor are invited to join in celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Kim's memory. As a family, we find comfort in the message, "When God is all you have, you will realize GOD is all you need. May God surround you with His peace today!" Kim Marie Davis will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Kim Marie Davis welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
