May 8, 2026 — June 24, 2026

In the brief yet profound moments she shared with us, K’Halaysie Keari Natalia Phillips touched the hearts of all who knew her. Born on May 8th, 2026, in Winnemucca, Nevada, K’Halaysie was a beacon of resilience and love. Her time with us was fleeting, but her impact was everlasting. On June 24th, 2026, she peacefully returned home after bravely battling the challenges of her early birth at just 23 weeks. K’Halaysie was the cherished daughter of Kenisha D. Phillips and Harden N. Lewis Jr., who adored every moment spent with their precious girl. Her mother, Kenisha, who has since passed, awaited eagerly for the chance to watch her daughter grow, learn, and thrive, dreaming of the day K’Halaysie would attend school and make lifelong friends. Though those dreams were not realized in this world, K’Halaysie's strength and spirit brought immense joy and hope to her parents' lives. In her short time here, K’Halaysie found comfort in her mother's voice, delighting in the songs and stories shared. Her love for her mother’s singing was a testament to the special bond they shared, a connection fortified by warmth and the gentle reassurance of a mother’s love. True to her nature, K’Halaysie was a little fighter, strong and spirited, with a particular disdain for having her tiny fingers and feet touched, a small but endearing characteristic that her family will always remember. Had she been given the chance, K’Halaysie would have been embraced by the community at Mount Carmel Bible Believing Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, where her mother found fellowship and faith as a child. This church community was eager to welcome her with open arms, ready to nurture her spiritual journey. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor K’Halaysie's life, allowing her family to say their farewells in a personal and intimate setting. Though her life was brief, the love she inspired in those around her will endure, a reminder of the light that such a small presence can bring into the world. K’Halaysie is now reunited with her beloved mother, Kenisha, in eternal peace. While her time with us was far too short, her legacy is one of love, resilience, and the profound impact a tiny soul can have. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, a cherished memory that will never fade.
