It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, Keyshawn Michael Beckom. Born on March 20, 2003, in the welcoming city of Duluth, Minnesota, Keyshawn departed from this world on May 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. Keyshawn was the cherished son of Jessica Rae Goodreau and Tyrell Martell Beckom Sr., who nurtured him with love and guided him with wisdom. He was a beacon of joy and inspiration to his siblings, Tyrell, Tawny, Ka'el, and Zion, with whom he shared countless memories and life lessons. His extended family, including his devoted aunts Tara (Nick), Brooke (Eric), and Desiree, his uncle Aaron, his grandmothers Brenda and Twaundalyn, and his grandfather Paul (Linda), all held him dearly in their hearts. A proud graduate of Denfeld High School in 2021, Keyshawn continued his educational journey at Mesabi Range College, where he honed his skills and prepared for a promising future. His passion for helping others led him to work as a Direct Support Professional, where he made a meaningful impact on the lives of those he served. More recently, he embarked on an apprenticeship, eager to learn and grow in his chosen field. Keyshawn's vibrant spirit was evident in his love for the game of football, where he found joy on the field and camaraderie with teammates. An avid fisherman, he cherished the peaceful moments by the water, casting lines and sharing stories. His true gift, however, was his ability to connect with others. As a mentor to the children in his community and a guiding light to his younger brothers, Keyshawn exemplified generosity and kindness. Those who knew Keyshawn will remember his quick wit and warm smile, always ready to brighten the day with a joke or a heartfelt laugh. His ability to make others feel welcomed and valued was unmatched, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Keyshawn's kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and his love will remain with us for all the days to come. As we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of Keyshawn Michael Beckom, we find solace in the memories and the enduring love he shared. His life, though brief, was filled with purpose and joy, and his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
