Kevin Murdock, fondly known as "Pete" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home on August 2, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. Born on March 10, 1959, in the close-knit community of Boaz, Alabama, Kevin lived a life rich in love, devotion, and service. Kevin was the beloved son of the late Nook and VI Murdock, who instilled in him the values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Murdock, and sister, Jo Adams, whose memories he cherished deeply. In 1985, Kevin married the love of his life, Charlotte, on August 12. Throughout their 41 years together, they built a family that was the center of Kevin's world. He is survived by his devoted wife, Charlotte, and his children, Kristy Murdock and Kevin Murdock, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. His grandchildren, Gavin Allen, Maggie Allen, Kasey Murdock, Kai Murdock, Kameron Murdock, and honorary grandchild Landon Chandler, were his pride and joy, and he adored his great-grandchildren, Jessie, Greyson, Emery, Levi, and Lilyanna Kevin was a loving brother to Charles (Kathy) Murdock and Sharon West, and a cherished brother-in-law to Carol (Aaron) White, Barbie (Phil) Pointer, and Regina (Todd) Gregg. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. A proud Army veteran, Kevin served his country with honor and dignity. His commitment to service extended beyond the military, as he was proud to have given his life to Christ, finding joy and strength in his faith. A service to honor Kevin's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at his home, located at 1205 Hallmark Rd, Boaz. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all who have come together to show their love for Kevin. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kevin's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting Kevin's spirit of generosity and compassion. Kevin's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and faith. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
