May 18, 2013 — July 9, 2026

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Kesenyah Cote-Dustyhorn, who left this world far too soon on July 9, 2026. Born on May 18, 2013, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Kesenyah was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. From a young age, Kesenyah showed remarkable talent and passion in all she pursued. Her love for volleyball was evident, and she was a formidable player on the court. However, it was through dance, particularly hip hop, that she truly expressed herself, captivating audiences with her grace and energy. Her performances were a testament to her dedication and the joy she found in movement. Kesenyah attended Gladys McDonald School, where she was known for her bright smile that could light up any room. Though she may not have been known for her kindness universally, those who were close to her knew the depths of her care and affection. She held a special place in her heart for the people she loved, and her loyalty and compassion were unwavering. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Predeceased by her mother, Ashley Brooke Cote, and her older brother, D'arryan Cote, Kesenyah is survived by her father, Elvis Dustyhorn, who grieves the loss of his precious daughter. In this time of immeasurable sorrow, the family wishes to honor Kesenyah’s memory with a private ceremony. They extend their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences. As we remember Kesenyah, let us celebrate the joy she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to convey a special message: "Rest in peace, Kesenyah. You are deeply loved." In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Kesenyah’s memory may do so by contributing to a charity of their choice that supports mental health awareness and suicide prevention, as these causes were close to the family's heart.
