Kerry Knisely

In loving memory of Kerry Knisely, who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Born on August 16, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA, Kerry lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family and community. Kerry was the cherished son of the late Charles and Lillian Knisely and the beloved brother of the late Kenneth Knisely. He is survived by his devoted wife, DonnaLee Clough Knisely, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love and companionship. Their journey together began after a brief 29-year courtship, culminating in marriage in October 2023. He is also survived by his ex-wife and dear friend, Cindy Knisely, with whom he lovingly co-parented their children, Jamie Yedlin and husband Dylan, and Jack Knisely and wife Jenna. Kerry's legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren, Sydney Yedlin, Cooper Knisely, Charlie Knisely, and Mack Yedlin, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Kerry attended Masconomet High School and pursued his passion for automobiles at Ferris State University, where he graduated from the Automotive Service program. His career at KMA Contractors was a testament to his hard work and dedication. Beyond his professional life, Kerry contributed to his community as a volunteer firefighter in Boxford and as an umpire for the Babe Ruth Baseball League. A man of many interests, Kerry loved the great outdoors, often finding solace and joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening. His passion for cars and motorcycles was well known, as was his love for the thrill of skiing. Kerry's musical soul resonated with the sounds of Classic Rock and the Blues, and he found laughter in comedy. His happiest moments were spent at the Knisely Holland Hut, the family's cabin in Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains, surrounded by those he loved most. Kerry was a man of strong and stubborn resolve, yet his heart was generous and gentle. Known for his honesty and sometimes blunt demeanor, he always wore his heart on his sleeve and was unwavering in his support and love for family and friends. A service to celebrate Kerry's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at The Polish Club, located at 12 Cheever Street, Danvers, MA 01923. The Knisely family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care and support during Kerry's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kerry's honor may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, Shapiro Rudolph Adult Day Health, or CurePSP. Kerry's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
