It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Kere Hedrick, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who departed this world on October 10, 2025. Born on July 21, 1971, in the charming town of Athens, Tennessee, Kere graced this world with her radiant presence for 54 cherished years. Kere was the beloved daughter of Deborah and Odell Parris, who survive her. She grew up enveloped in the warmth and love of her family, which she carried forward into her own family life. As a devoted mother, Kere's legacy continues through her cherished children: Ashae Parris, Aondrea Parris, Ashland Parris, and Nakeiyah Alexander, whose lives she enriched with her unwavering love and guidance. Her family's joy multiplied with the arrival of her seven grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Kere also leaves behind her dear siblings, Yasin Parris and Ann Parris, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Their shared memories and the love that intertwined their lives stand as a testament to the strength of family ties that Kere so deeply cherished. Professionally, Kere dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her commitment to her work was an extension of her natural inclination to nurture and heal those around her. Her colleagues and patients alike were drawn to her vibrant personality and her ability to bring joy and comfort to those in her care. Kere's love for music and writing was a reflection of her creative spirit and introspective nature. Her home was often filled with the melodies of her favorite songs, providing a soundtrack to the many beautiful moments she shared with her loved ones. Through her writing, Kere expressed her thoughts and emotions with a candor that resonated with truth, a gift she generously shared with those fortunate enough to be part of her inner circle. Known for her vibrant personality, Kere possessed an uncanny ability to make others feel seen and heard. She was a truth-teller, unafraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in. This authenticity endeared her to many, making it easy for others to open up to her and seek her counsel. Kere had a unique talent for making everyone feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. As we celebrate Kere's life, we remember her not only for the roles she fulfilled but for the essence of who she was—a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends, offering comfort and inspiration as we navigate the days ahead without her physical presence. Kere's family invites all who knew her to join in a celebration of her life, honoring the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she left on this world. Details of the memorial service will be shared in due course. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kere's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to her lifelong commitment to helping others. Though Kere's journey has come to an end, her legacy of love, compassion, and authenticity will forever be etched in our souls. Rest in peace, dear Kere. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
