Kent Neal

March 10, 1954 — June 9, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Kent Neal, who departed from this world on June 9, 2026, at the age of 72, after a valiant battle with brain cancer. Born on March 10, 1954, in DeKalb, Illinois, Kent was a beacon of humor and warmth, known for his quick wit and ever-present smile that could light up any room. Kent was the beloved son of the late Robert and Jewel Allen, who instilled in him the values of kindness and humility. Though his parents have passed, their legacy lives on in Kent’s remarkable life and in the family that he cherished so dearly. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 15 years, Martha, whose unwavering love and companionship were the cornerstones of his later years. Kent's family was his pride and joy, and he took immense pleasure in the lives of his children: Brian Allen, William (Beth) Allen, Alexis Neal, Sydney (Matthew) Connor, and Macgyver Neal. He was also the adored brother of Terry (Missy) Allen and Kevin (Kathy) Allen. Kent's legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and whose lives were forever enriched by his gentle spirit and guidance. Kent had a passion for photography and antique cars, pursuits that allowed him to capture the beauty of the world and the elegance of bygone eras. Whether behind a camera lens or the wheel of a classic car, Kent found joy in the details and shared that joy with all who knew him. The Neal family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Tampa General Hospital, whose compassionate care provided comfort and dignity in Kent’s final days. In honoring his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Kent's life. Though he is no longer with us in body, Kent Neal will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on as a testament to a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and an enduring legacy of kindness. Rest in peace, dear Kent. You are forever in our hearts.
