Kennie entered this life on December 13,1958, to the late Allen and Savannah Jones. The youngest of five children, he attended Hanover County Public Schools. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Brown Grove Baptist Church.
On August 19,1989, Kennie married his beloved wife Vera Lewis Jones. Their union was blessed with two children, Kennie Jones, Jr. and Uconia Jones. A devoted husband and father, Kennie took great pride in caring for his family. Although Vera departed this life on October 10, 2015, the love and memories they shared remained close to his heart.
Kennie dedicated many years of service to Hanover Custom Buildings and later worked as a detailer at McGeorge RV Camping World. He believed in putting in a honest day's work, standing by his word, and providing for the people he loved.
Anyone who knew Kennie Knew he was never afraid to speak his mind. You never had to guess how he felt; he would tell you himself. He cheered faithfully for his Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Dodgers, through every win and loss. He also enjoyed the music of Prince, Sade, Keith Sweat, and Earth Wind & Fire. His conversations, laughter, generosity, and unmistakable personality will be dearly missed.
On October 13,2026, Kennie entered eternal rest at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
