Kenneth Uelmen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Uelmen, a cherished partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at his home on July 25, 2026. Born on March 8, 1957, in West Bend, WI, Kenneth was the beloved son of Elroy and Evelyn Uelmen, who predeceased him and now welcome him into eternal rest alongside many other loved ones.
Kenneth lived a life filled with love and laughter, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew him. He is survived by his devoted fiancée of 44 years, Jean Giese, whose steadfast love has been a cornerstone of his life. His children, Jennifer Uelmen (Marchello) and Nicholas (Fostina) Uelmen, and his stepdaughter, Tania Giese, carry forward his spirit in their lives. Kenneth was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Xavier, Isaac, Liziyah, Malachi, Natasha, Jazlynn, Destiny, and Mariah, all of whom brought immense joy to his days.
Kenneth's life was enriched by his siblings, Lloyd (Linda) Uelmen, Carol Sabish, Elaine (Ray) Maurer, Jane (Dave) Tolonen, and Cheryl (Bob) Olsen, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and countless friends who cherished his company. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Ray, his grandson CJ, and a host of other dear family members and friends.
A proud graduate of West Bend East, Class of 1975, Kenneth went on to serve his country with honor in the Marines starting in 1976. His strong work ethic continued at Quad Graphics, where he dedicated 22 years before retiring, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends.
Kenneth was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in fishing, hunting, and sharing laughter and good times with his family and friends. His big heart and contagious laugh will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held on July 30, 2026, visitation 1:00-3:00 PM at Koepsell Funeral Home 716 Clinton street Horicon, WI 53032 with a service to follow. And a burial to follow after at St. Michael's cemetery at 8883 Forest View Road kewaskum, WI 53040. A luncheon to follow will pronounce at burial.
Kenneth Uelmen will be remembered for the love he shared, the laughter he spread, and the lasting memories he created. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. In his words catch you on the rebound!
