It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth Robert Sindelar at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 31, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kenneth lived a life full of dedication, service, and love. He departed this world on July 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and integrity. Kenneth was the beloved son of the late Elmer and Anna Sindelar (nee Mencin). He was preceded in death by his parents, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful family that was the center of Kenneth's world. Kenneth was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. Following his military service, he continued to serve his community as a dedicated police officer in Willowick, Ohio. His commitment to service and justice was admired by all who knew him. Kenneth's family was his pride and joy. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Guy Sindelar (Natalie), Sean Sindelar (Carla), and Lisa Lungaro. He was a cherished grandfather to Jacob, Abby, Julianna, Colin, Luca, Presley, and Nina Nicole. Kenneth's legacy also extends to his five great-grandchildren, who will grow up hearing stories of their remarkable great-grandfather. Kenneth is also survived by his brother, James Sindelar (Sophie), who was not only a sibling but a lifelong friend. His close-knit circle of friends, including Tom Provateare, Jim Brucato, Lenny Piazza, Bill Srp, and John McDonald, were like brothers to him, sharing countless memories and adventures. A service to honor Kenneth's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at St. Barnabas Church. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kenneth are invited to join in celebrating a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kenneth's memory. This gesture would honor his lifelong commitment to helping others and making the world a better place. Kenneth Robert Sindelar will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a testament to the power of love, service, and friendship, and he leaves behind a legacy that will inspire future generations.
