Kenneth Ray Blankenship

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Kenneth Ray Blankenship, who left us on September 3, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on July 15, 1987, in Bluefield, West Virginia, Kenneth was a cherished son, brother, and friend, whose vibrant spirit and loving nature touched everyone he met. Kenneth was the beloved son of Barbara Payne and the late Roger Blankenship. He is also predeceased by his dear sister, Ann Blankenship. He leaves behind a devoted family who will forever hold his memory close: his mother, Barbara Payne; his sister, Melissa McCall; and his four brothers, Jesse, James, Brian, and Richard Blankenship. Growing up in Bluefield, Kenneth faced challenges with determination and grace. He was proud to have earned his GED, a testament to his perseverance and dedication. Kenneth had a deep love for riding horses, finding solace and joy in the bond between rider and steed. Above all, Kenneth cherished the time spent with his family, always making sure that those around him felt loved and valued. Kenneth's warmth and kindness were the hallmarks of his character, and he brought light and laughter into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His ability to make others feel special and his unwavering support for his loved ones will be profoundly missed. A service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held on September 6, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Chapmans Funeral Home, located at 365 N Main Ave, Stony Point, NC. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Kenneth's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of their choice, in remembrance of Kenneth's generous and caring spirit. May Kenneth Ray Blankenship's soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire all who knew him.
