KENNETH R. CARTER SR>

May 20, 1955 — July 5, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth R. Carter Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left this world on July 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Kenneth was born on May 20, 1955, in Waco, Texas, to the late Theodocia P. Carter and Noyal Lester Carter Jr. Kenneth's life was marked by dedication, service, and love. He was a proud graduate of Jefferson Moore High School, Class of 1973, and shortly thereafter, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the U.S. Army. His military service spanned two significant periods, from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1980 to 1984, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment and valor. After his honorable discharge, Kenneth continued his service in a different capacity, dedicating 25 years to the V.A. Administration. His total of thirty years of government service is a testament to his steadfast dedication to supporting his fellow veterans and countrymen. Kenneth was a man of deep family values. He was predeceased by his cherished parents, Theodocia P. Carter and Noyal Lester Carter Jr., and his beloved grandparents, Robert and Dottie Pimpton, as well as Noyal Lester Carter Sr. and Roszela Mims Carter. Despite these losses, Kenneth's heart remained full as he cherished and nurtured the lives of his surviving family members. He leaves behind his beloved children, Kenneth R. Carter Jr. and Merica R. Carter, who were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Malachi Montezuma, Jada Montezuma, Andre Montezuma, Kenneth R. Carter, and Kendra Carter, and his two great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness and fulfillment. Kenneth's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, loyalty, and kindness. He was a beacon of strength for his family, a man who never hesitated to put others before himself. His gentle spirit and warm smile will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know him. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Kenneth's honor. This gesture would be a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to others throughout his life. As we say farewell to Kenneth, let us remember him not only for his service and dedication but for the love he imparted to his family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
