It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth M. Kellner, a beloved husband, brother, stepfather, and friend, who departed this world on May 18, 2026, following a sudden cardiac event. Kenneth, affectionately known as Ken, was born on January 26, 1957, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward and Elizabeth Kellner, and he carried their legacy of warmth and kindness throughout his life. Ken spent his childhood in the lovely town of Greensburg, where he graduated from Hempfield High School. His passion for understanding the intricacies of machines led him to Vale Tech, where he honed his skills in auto mechanics and auto body customization. Known for his love of classic muscle cars, Ken often dreamed of owning one himself, a testament to his lifelong enthusiasm for everything on wheels. Ken's love for music was as deep as his love for cars. A talented and accomplished drummer, he shared his rhythmic gift with many bands, exploring a variety of musical genres through the years. Yet, it was the soulful tones of the blues that truly captured his heart. His drumming brought joy to many and was a beautiful expression of his vibrant spirit. Ken had a special gift: the ability to connect with anyone he met. His conversations were heartfelt, and he made friends with ease. His dedication to helping others was evident in his management of the Youngwood Food Pantry, part of the Westmoreland County Food Bank. Through these efforts, Ken touched countless lives, always facing adversity with courage and an unwavering spirit to never give up. In March 2001, Ken married the love of his life, Carol Wilson, in a union filled with joy, laughter, and mutual respect. They cherished their life together in the Laurel Highlands, a place they adored for its natural beauty. Their home was a haven of love, shared with many cherished pets that brought them endless joy. Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Carol; his stepson, Griffith Wilson, and his wife, Tiffany; and his cherished grand stepdaughter, Isabella, who brought him immense pride and happiness. Also surviving is his beloved brother, Thomas Kellner, and his wife, Beverly, along with Ken’s nephew, niece, and their families, who will hold his memory close to their hearts. While Ken leaves behind a legacy of compassion and generosity, he joins his parents, Edward and Elizabeth, in eternal peace. He may have departed from this world, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. In accordance with Ken's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shared their touching messages and memories on social media. Your kind words have been a source of comfort during this difficult time. Ken will be remembered for his love of life, his generous heart, and his ability to turn strangers into friends. His memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
