It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth Leroy Hammock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, at the age of 65. Kenneth departed this world on February 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN. Born on October 13, 1960, in St. Louis, MO, Kenneth was the cherished son of the late Clarence Thomas and Dessie Marie (Brewer) Hammock. He was predeceased by his dear son, Kenny "Tub" Hammock, and his sister, Carol Harrell, who he now joins in eternal rest. Kenneth led a life marked by service, dedication, and love. He served his country with honor as a proud member of the U.S. Air Force, a testament to his unwavering commitment to duty and patriotism. Following his military service, Kenneth found joy and fulfillment in his work as a Diesel Mechanic for Steelman Farms, where he was known for his expertise and unyielding work ethic. Kenneth's love for the land was evident in his passion for working with cows, a testament to his deep connection with nature and the simple pleasures of life. His mornings were often spent sharing stories and laughter with friends at H & A, where his presence was a constant source of warmth and camaraderie. A devoted family man, Kenneth's world revolved around his beloved wife, Paula (Wiler) Hammock, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising three remarkable daughters: Amy (Mickey) Summers of Gallatin, TN, Lana (Tyrone) Carney of Halls, TN, and Kimberly (Richard) Boggs of Powell, WY. Kenneth also embraced his role as a loving stepfather to Ashley Rogers of Old Hickory, TN, Danielle Belfiore, and Amanda (Cody) Brasfield, both of Bethel Springs, TN. His special bond with his grandson Jaxx Wilson was a source of immense joy and pride; they were inseparable, partners in adventure and life. Kenneth's legacy is further carried on by his five sisters: Betty Sue Ballard of Ripley, TN, Johanna (Bret) Carmack of Halls, TN, Bonnie (Rod) Sanders of Ripley, TN, Monnie Whitney of Ripley, TN, and Dee (Conley) Wright of Humboldt, TN, as well as his two brothers, Eugene Hammock of Halls, TN, and Tom Hammock of Chicago, IL. Kenneth was also the cherished grandfather to eleven grandchildren, each a precious testament to his enduring love. Kenneth was a man of wisdom, often sharing his life philosophies through his cherished "Kennism" quotes, leaving those who knew him with smiles and lasting memories. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kenneth's life on February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Halls Funeral Home, located at 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN 38040. Halls Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Kenneth Hammock. Kenneth's life was a testament to love, service, and community, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Kenneth's heart, in honor of his legacy of kindness and generosity.
