Kenneth L. Johnson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on October 14, 1963, in Queens, NY, Kenneth was the cherished son of the late Betty and Leon Johnson.
Kenneth grew up in Queens, where he graduated from August Martin High School in June 1982. His thirst for knowledge led him back to school later in life, where he earned an Associate degree in 2024 and a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Tech from Mercy College. Kenneth's professional career was marked by over two decades of dedicated service as a Mechanical Engineer at Nature's Bounty Company. He was known for his leadership, mentoring young mechanics, and his skillful problem-solving capabilities.
Kenneth married the love of his life, Shameka J. Moon Jr., on May 10, 2002, in Brooklyn, NY. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared 29 years of love and laughter. Kenneth was the devoted father of Storm Holmes, Lord-KyN'th Holmes Mis'rue-Sym-phony Holmes Jr., SYr-Myk-Hale J. Moon Jr., Kyn'Da J. Moon Jr. and Kenyetta Joy Johnson, all of whom he raised with immense pride and joy.
In his personal life, Kenneth was known for his quick wit, warm smile, and the ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. He was a man of many talents and passions, including fishing, furniture-making, and playing handball in the park. His kindness and generosity were felt throughout his community, as he was always ready to lend a hand to friends and neighbors in need.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Shameka, his cherished children, his siblings Debra Wiggins, Glenn Johnson, and Rubee Dee Johnson, and his four wonderful grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Betty and Leon Johnson, who he now joins in eternal rest.
A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 3:31 PM at St. Anthony Church, located at 425 Utica Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11213. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bridgeport Hospital for the compassionate care they provided.

Kenneth's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
