It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth James Strongitharm, affectionately known as Kenny, who left this world on April 14, 2026. Born on November 29, 1967, in Duluth, Minnesota, Kenny lived a life full of laughter, love, and unwavering kindness. At the age of 58, he passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the love of those who knew him best.
Kenny was the beloved son of the late Dennis and Beverly Strongitharm, who have preceded him in death, alongside his grandparents, John and Mary Strongitharm, and Ed and Emma Shave. He is survived by his loving brother John Strongitharm and his wife, Diane; his dear sister Leslie Musolf and her husband, Larry; and his treasured nieces Sarah, Angie, and Nichole, and nephew Chris. Kenny's circle of love extended far beyond his immediate family to include his close friends Caleb, the staff at Carlton Fitness, the team at the Haunted Shack, and his good friend, Maria. Each of them held a special place in his heart.
Kenny's life was a testament to the power of joy and laughter. He was a graduate of Denfeld High School and spent his career bringing smiles to countless faces within the community. Whether he was sharing a joke or offering a warm smile, Kenny's presence was a bright light, touching the lives of everyone he encountered. His love for horror movies was well-known, and he delighted in sharing this passion with family and friends, creating unforgettable moments filled with laughter.
His gentle spirit and infectious humor made him a cherished friend to many, and his legacy of kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kenny had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him happy; his heart was open to all, and his laughter was a gift that enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to cross his path.
A service to celebrate Kenny's remarkable life will be held at Elim Lutheran Church, located at 6101 Cody Street, on May 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Kenny are warmly invited to gather in his memory and honor the joy he brought into the world.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Kenny's Care Team, Ecumen Hospice Care, and all those in the community who embraced Kenny as part of their lives. Your kindness and support have been invaluable during this difficult time.
