Kenneth Howard Jackson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Howard Jackson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, who left this world on June 18, 2026. Born on December 12, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts, Kenneth, known fondly as Kenny, lived a life rich in love, service, and adventure. Born to Howard Jean Matthew Rice and Willie Mae Jackson, Kenny was raised in a family that valued hard work and compassion. He carried these values with him throughout his life, leaving a legacy of kindness and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, as well as his cherished sister, Lisa Jackson and grandmother Mittie Chambers, Kenneth now joins them in eternal peace. Kenny’s life was defined by his incredible versatility and work ethic. Renowned as a "Jack of all Trades," he spent his career serving his community in various capacities. Whether as an employee of the Greyhound bus service, a mail carrier for the US Postal Service, a driver for the Boston Public Schools, or a tree trimmer, Kenny approached every role with diligence His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his dedication to his family and friends. Kenneth’s love for life was evident in the countless hours he spent engaged in his favorite hobbies. An avid fisherman, he found peace and joy in the tranquil waters, casting lines and making memories with those he loved. A master of the smoker, Kenny was known for his culinary skills that delighted many gatherings. His passion for driving extended beyond his career, as he frequently journeyed to Maryland and Georgia, visiting family and friends, enriching his life with cherished moments and stories. Kenneth is survived by his loving children: Kenisha, Victoria Montgomery, Kenneth Jackson Jr., and Jennifer Mitchell, all residing in Boston, his sister Brenda Rucker, brother -in Law Joseph Rucker and his two nephews Richard Rucker and Kyle Jackson. His legacy lives on through his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life and who will carry forward his spirit of kindness and resilience. Though our hearts are heavy with the pain of his passing, we find comfort in the memories of his laughter, kindness, and the indelible mark he left on our lives. Kenneth Howard Jackson’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
