Kenneth L. Kirk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth on August 13, 2026, at his cherished home in the loving presence of his wife. Born on June 10, 1950, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kenneth lived a life full of love, dedication, and service. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, but his legacy continues through the lives of his devoted family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances A. Kirk, his loving daughters, Torrie and Monica Kirk, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. For 32 years, Kenneth dedicated himself to his work at Athens Paper Company, where he was known for his commitment and integrity. Beyond his professional life, he was a pillar in his community as a lifelong member of Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church. His service as chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School teacher and his voice in the mass choir left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Kenneth's passions extended beyond his work and church. He was an avid pool player and a skilled backyard mechanic, always ready to lend a hand or offer advice. His friendships with Jerry, his childhood confidant, and Darrel Horn, his fellow church member, were treasures he held dearly. A memorial service to honor Kenneth’s life will be held on August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 8120 Old Cleveland Pike, Ooltewah, TN 37363. Minister William Clark will preside over the service, and the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Janette Williams for her efforts in organizing the service. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who has reached out during this time. Special thanks to the members of Saint Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church, as well as family and friends, for their unwavering support and love.
