Ken Lund, a father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 10, 1949, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Ken was the cherished son of Leonard A Lund and Velma L Mikkelson. He now joins them in eternal rest.
Ken's early years were spent in Oregon and then on their family dairy farm in Minnesota, where he cultivated a lifelong love of laughter and joy. After graduating from Perham High School, Ken furthered his education at Wadena Technical College, equipping himself with skills that would serve him well throughout his life.
In 1968, Ken answered the call to serve his country, joining the Navy with unwavering dedication. His service, which spanned from 1968 to 1972, was a testament to his strength, resilience, and commitment to the greater good. His stories of those years, often infused with humor, brought smiles and laughter to those around him.
Ken was the proud parent of Josh and Kendra. His joy multiplied with the arrival of five grandchildren. Ken’s enjoyed time with his brothers and friends, often with a joke at the ready to ensure there was always laughter in the air.
Ken's warmth and humor were the hallmarks of his character, and those who knew him remember fondly the jokes he would tell to lighten a room and bring people together. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to find joy in the everyday was an inspiration to all.
