Kelvin R. Taylor

Kelvin R. Taylor, affectionately known to many as "KT," passed away on August 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and community service. Born on February 15, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee, KT's life was a testament to the power of dedication, seriousness, loyalty and the impact one person can have on the world. KT was an extraordinary individual with an extremely creative mindset, an artistic soul and a heart dedicated to meeting his goals. In his own lane, he proved to be amazing, with unlimited talents and skills, ranging from a life of body-building, a master of artistry, and a Disturbance Expert in the LA County Jail System. KT shared his unique perspective and creativity with the world, as he also became an author. His works were not only a reflection of his talents but also a means through which he connected with people from all walks of life. A devoted community violence intervention specialist, KT worked tirelessly alongside his brother, "Bo", to improve the lives of those around him. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his profession, as he often engaged in charitable acts and community outreach. His dedication to helping those in need earned him the respect and admiration of many, and his warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. KT was a beloved son to (Mom's) Charlene Taylor, and cherished siblings Debra, Sandra, Le'Chein, Bo (2008 Rest In Paradise) and Adrienne. KT leaves behind a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were touched by his generosity and love. He understood that relationships with family and friends were the cornerstone of his life. KT had a gift for making everyone feel valued and heard, and his infectious laughter and comforting presence will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we remember KT, let us celebrate the remarkable life he led and the positive impact he had on so many. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to share in his journey. KT's legacy of creativity, and service will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
