Kelsie, a radiant soul born on July 11, 1991, in Topeka, Kansas, brought light and laughter to everyone she encountered. She passed away peacefully at the tender age of 35, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Kelsie was the devoted daughter of Ed and Michelle Townsend and a loving sister to Courtne Sawyer. She joins her beloved brother, Aaron Townsend, in eternal rest. Her memory will be carried forward by her devoted spouse, Irvin Gonzalez, and their cherished children: Nevaeh, Andrea, Micah, and Bella Gonzalez.
Kelsie had a passion for helping others, which was evident in her pursuit of higher education. After earning her GED from Washburn Tech, she was ambitiously working toward a degree in social work at Washburn University. Her compassionate nature was also reflected in her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Lexington Park, where her warm smile and laughter brightened the lives of residents and staff alike.
A woman of deep faith, Kelsie was an active member of the Bible Church of God 7th Day and participated in a beloved Bible study group known as Jesus and Jammies. Her commitment to her spiritual life was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Kelsie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing, swimming, and most of all, spending time with her children. Her sense of humor and infectious laughter were a gift to everyone around her, and she touched countless lives with her kindness and generosity.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who loved and supported Kelsie throughout her life. They appreciate those who stood by her side during both the joyful and challenging times and who celebrated her many achievements.
