Kelly departed this world peacefully on April 9, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of his family in a New York hospital.
Born on March 20, 1945, in the bustling city of New York, Kelly was the cherished son of the late John and Jane Doe. From a young age, Kelly exhibited a strong and resilient spirit, traits that would define his lifetime of service and dedication to his family and community.
A proud graduate of college, Kelly answered the call of duty by serving in the Army, where he embodied the values of courage and loyalty. Following his military service, Kelly dedicated his life to protecting and serving as a police officer, a career in which he found great fulfillment and made lasting impacts on countless lives.
In 1981, Kelly married the love of his life, Louise. Their 45-year partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Jacob and Esau, who were the pride and joy of Kelly's life. He was also the proud grandfather of two beautiful grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness to his years.
Kelly was a man of faith, a devoted member of the Methodist Church, and an active participant in the Masonic Lodge, where he formed lifelong friendships and contributed to his community's well-being. He was a man of varied interests, finding peace and joy in the quiet solitude of hunting and fishing, and in the meticulous art of coin collecting.
Known for his strength and resilience, Kelly faced life's challenges with unwavering resolve and a gentle spirit. His legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Kelly's life will be held on April 20, 2026, at 9:56 a.m. at St. Mary's, located at 284 Chase Ave. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kelly are invited to gather in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Buddy, an organization close to Kelly's heart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Kelly was loved by many, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
