In Loving Memory of Kelly Lynn Johnson
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kelly Lynn Johnson, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Kelly passed away peacefully of natural causes on the 5th of May, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 42 years old.
Kelly was born on May 15, 1983, in the vibrant city of Phoenix, Arizona, to Patricia Benner and Ray Johnson. Her childhood was filled with love and adventure, often exploring the beautiful outdoors of Arizona. Her passion for nature and her compassionate heart were nurtured by her cherished grandparents, Robert and Anna Joe Benner, who have since passed on, and her parents who survive her.
A spirited and adventurous soul, Kelly attended Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, until 1999, later completing her high school education with Graduation Alliance in Kansas in 2022. Her thirst for knowledge and her unwavering dedication to helping others led her to pursue a degree in child psychology at Barton Community College in 2023. Kelly was committed to making a meaningful impact on young lives and worked in various professions that allowed her to be surrounded by people, spreading her kindness and warmth wherever she went.
Kelly was not only a dedicated student and professional but also a woman of many passions. She loved the serenity of hiking and the tranquility of fishing, often finding solace in nature. She was an enthusiastic collector, gathering treasures in the form of Funkos and Precious Moments, and she had a penchant for the thrilling tales of horror movies. Above all, Kelly’s greatest joy came from spending time with her children, Skylar and Lillian Warner—her pride and joy, whose presence filled her life with boundless love and happiness.
In her personal life, Kelly shared eight years of marriage with Joshua Warner, during which they welcomed their wonderful children, Skylar and Lillian. Although their paths eventually diverged in 2015, they remained united in the love and care for their children.
Kelly was a beacon of positivity, known for her infectious smile and her unwavering optimism. She had an extraordinary ability to find the good in everyone and everything. Her love for animals was well-known, and she was always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her legacy as an amazing mom and a loyal friend will be cherished by all who knew her.
Kelly is survived by her devoted mother, Patricia Benner, her loving sisters Tina Dressendorfer and her husband Casey, and Cindy Combs. She leaves behind her beloved children, Skylar and Lillian Warner, and a host of nieces and nephews: Anita Cabrera, Michelle Johnson, Cassandra Johnson, Ashley Combs, Amber Combs, Michael Combs, and Brandon Johnson, along with her great-nephew, Johnny Cabrera. Kelly also joins her beloved son, Dacota Gipson, in eternal rest.
In accordance with her family's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Kelly's life and legacy. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in the memories of her laughter, her love, and her unwavering strength.
As we say farewell to a remarkable woman, we hold onto the light she brought into our lives. Kelly Lynn Johnson will forever be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared with all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
May her spirit continue to guide and inspire us, and may she rest in peace.
