Kelly was the cherished son of Raymond Lee Chastain and Helen. He was a proud graduate of Prague High School, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and love for family and friends. From January 2006 to November 2010, Kelly honorably served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of service and commitment. Kelly was married to his loving partner, Shanda Chastain, with whom he shared a deeply cherished bond. Together, they created a life filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted father to his children, Regan Chastain, Scotlyn, Rylee Chastain, and Clarie Patten and her husband, Preston. His role as a grandfather to Brooks Chastain and Huxley was one he treasured dearly, often sharing stories of their adventures and accomplishments with pride and joy. A true nature enthusiast, Kelly found joy in birdwatching and nurturing his garden, where he cultivated beautiful flowers and kept his yard impeccably manicured. He was an ardent sports fan, passionately supporting the Buffalo Bills, The Thunder, and the University of Oklahoma. For one special year, his loyalty even extended to the OSU Cowboys as he cheered on his daughter Clarie during her time on the women's basketball team. Kelly's personality was as vibrant as the gardens he tended. Known for his outgoing nature, he never met a stranger and took great care in remembering the names of those he encountered, whether they were lifelong friends or hospital caregivers. His sentimental spirit was evident in his collection of handwritten notes and letters, each one a testament to the connections he cherished throughout his life. A service to celebrate Kelly's life will be held at the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Prague, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kelly's memory. Kelly Lee Chastain will be remembered for his boundless friendliness, his deep familial love, and his unwavering ability to find beauty in the world around him.
