It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly John Reidy, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on September 26, 2026. Born in Aurora, Colorado on April 25, 1956, Kelly's life was a testament to dedication, love, and laughter. Kelly was the cherished son of the late Richard and Patricia Reidy. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Pauline, his dear sister Antoinette 'Toni' Londergan, brother-in-law Mike Crooks, and niece Libby Kay Nye. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold his memory close: his children, Trillian Montsch and Richard Reidy; his adored grandchildren, Maddox, Alana, and Jullian; and great-granddaughters, Sarai and Elbalese. Kelly is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Crooks and Betsy Scott, who were his lifelong companions and confidantes. A man who dedicated his life to service, Kelly proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years, followed by another 23 years with the Department of Defense/TMO. His unwavering commitment to his country and its troops was a source of immense pride for him. Kelly's love for the United States was evident in every aspect of his life, and his service was a true reflection of his patriotic spirit. From a young age, Kelly developed a passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, which he shared with his father. His adventures took him on memorable trips, including a cherished hunting expedition in Alaska during his high school years. Kelly's love for fishing remained a constant throughout his life, often finding solace on the docks of South Carolina, where he lived. Aside from his love for the outdoors, Kelly was known for his culinary skills and his quick wit. An excellent cook, he delighted in preparing meals for family and friends, filling their gatherings with warmth and delicious flavors. His sense of humor and sharp comebacks made him the life of the party, ensuring laughter and joy followed him wherever he went. In honoring Kelly's life, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff of Kent General for the compassionate care provided to him, as well as the kindness shown to Trillian and Kathy during their calls for updates. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Kelly's memory may consider making a donation to a charity of their choice. Kelly John Reidy's legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable journey.
