Kelly Beth Ratcliffe
December 29, 1978 — April 17, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, Kelly Beth Ratcliffe, who left us on April 17, 2026, at the age of 47. Born on December 29, 1978, in Ware, Massachusetts, Kelly lived a life exemplified by courage, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to service.
Kelly was the beloved daughter of Stephen Ratcliffe and Deborah (Scott) Ratcliffe of Ware, MA. Her family was the heartbeat of her life, and she shared a special bond with her sister, Erin Bajnoci, of Leverett, MA. Her nephew, Jackson Bajnoci, knew her as "Anya," a term of endearment that captured the nurturing, playful spirit she brought into his life.
A proud alumna of Framingham State, Kelly earned her Master’s Degree in Business Management. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a life of service, both in and out of uniform. Kelly bravely served in the United States Army as a Military Police Sergeant (E-5), where she was stationed in Korea and completed two tours of duty during the Iraq War. Her exemplary service earned her numerous commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, and the Iraq Campaign Medal, among others—testaments to her valor and dedication to her country.
Following her distinguished military career, Kelly continued to serve her fellow veterans as a Veteran’s Service Agent. Her work in this field was more than a career; it was a calling. She was particularly passionate about suicide prevention, focusing her efforts on supporting veterans in need of hope and healing. This dedication extended into her volunteer work, where she specialized in training service dogs, providing invaluable companionship and support to those who needed it most.
Kelly’s love for photography allowed her to capture moments of beauty and tranquility, offering a glimpse into her soul—a soul that saw the world with compassion and creativity. Her photographs were reflections of her gentle spirit and her keen eye for the extraordinary in everyday life.
In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Kelly’s life and legacy. For those who wish to remember Kelly in a meaningful way, donations can be made to American Service Pets, an organization that embodies her love for animals and commitment to service.
