Kelly Ann Bruening 8/1/1960 -4/12/26. Born in Houston, Texas, Kelly was the beloved daughter of Evelyn Kelly Johnson and the late Harvey Hill Johnson. Her family roots were deep, and her bonds with her extended family and friends were the foundation of her life. A proud graduate of Liberty High School in 1978, Kelly pursued her academic dreams and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. Her education paved the way for a fulfilling career that began as a customs broker and later transitioned into a deeply rewarding role as a special education teacher. Kelly was known for her quick wit and unexpected humor, qualities that brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She loved music and reading, finding solace and inspiration in both. She embraced life with a vibrant spirit that was contagious to those in her company. Kelly loved fiercely and was, in turn, deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and a life lived to the fullest, with a heart open to all the world had to offer. As we say goodbye to Kelly, we remember the laughter she shared, the kindness she extended, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Her memory will be cherished by her mother Evelyn, her son Andrew, daughter in law Daisy and grandson in waiting Michael, her son Samuel, daughter in law Katie and grandchildren Parker and Campbell, her brother Hill, sister in law Cramer, and niece Erin, her sister Michele and brother in law Dave. Kelly’s family invites all who knew her to celebrate a life well-lived, and to remember the joy she brought into the world. May her spirit continue to inspire us, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. -MERCY-
