Keith Jackson, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, after a brief illness. Born in Gallipolis, Ohio, on November 27, 1959, Keith was the beloved son of William and Clara Jackson, who have predeceased him. He is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Kevin Jackson, his older brother, David, and his precious granddaughter, Alexis.
Keith's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication. A proud alumnus of Gallia Academy High School, class of 1977, Keith went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army from January 1984 to January 1988. His disciplined and loyal nature found its home at General Electric, where he dedicated over 25 years of service before retiring in 2017.
On March 6, 1993, Keith married the love of his life, Paula, and together they built a beautiful family over their 33 years of marriage. Paula survives him, along with children: Jermaine Jackson, Taylor Johnson, and Keith Jackson II. Keith was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren Trendon Jackson, Laila Johnson and Brandon Johnson, who brought immense joy to his life. Keith was also survived by his sister Karen and Maurice Traylor, Sister Kelly and Lloyd Ashford, Sister Kim Jackson and Brother Kirk and Shelly Jackson. He is also Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins snd family who he always cherished and loved.
An advocate of laughter and joy, Keith's sense of humor was infectious. His love for comedy and making others laugh was a cornerstone of his personality. Beyond his humor, Keith was a man of varied interests. He found joy in the disciplined art of karate and the rhythm of dancing. Keith was also an avid fan of westerns and crime television, and he was never happier than when watching his Ohio State Buckeyes play.
A gentle soul, Keith took delight in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching his granddaughter excel on the volleyball court or sharing a peaceful moment with his grandson during a fishing trip. His presence at these family gatherings was a testament to his love and devotion to his family.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later time.
Keith Jackson will be remembered for his friendly nature, the love for his family and his laughter.
