In Loving Memory

Keisha Moné Murray-Hayes
July 26, 1985 — July 8, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Keisha Moné Murray-Hayes, a beloved wife, daughter, and friend. Keisha was born on July 26, 1985, in the vibrant city of Chicago, where she continued to leave her mark until her unexpected departure on July 8, 2026.
Keisha was the cherished daughter of Sharron Austin and Steve Murray, who nurtured her indomitable spirit and celebrated her every achievement. Though she was predeceased by her grandparents, Willie and Odessa Austin, their love and guidance were ever-present in her life. Keisha is survived by her devoted husband, Maurice Hayes, whom she married on June 4, 2021, and with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they nurtured two cherished fur babies, Kinji and Bella Hayes, who brought immense joy to their lives. Her mother, Sharron Austin, along with her aunts, uncles, and a host of family and friends, remain to honor her memory and continue her legacy.
A proud alumna of Corliss High School, Keisha graduated in June 2003, ready to embark on a journey filled with compassion and care. She dedicated her life to the healthcare field, serving as a Certified Nurses Assistant and an Intake Associate since May of 2010. Her commitment to her work was matched only by the warmth and kindness she extended to those in her care.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Keisha was a woman of many talents and passions. Her love for crafting led her to open a small business, Made by KH, where her creativity knew no bounds. She had a keen eye for fashion, particularly when it came to handbags and shoes, making her a true connoisseur. An ardent fan of the Chicago White Sox, Keisha also held a special admiration for the late, great hall of famer Kobe Bryant.
Keisha was known for her quick wit and sharp humor, qualities that brought laughter and light to countless lives. Though she may have lacked in height, she made up for it with an abundance of creativity, spirited stubbornness, and an earthbound humility that endeared her to all who knew her.
As we remember Keisha, let us celebrate the vibrant and loving soul she was, whose impact will be felt for generations. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Keisha’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the values she held dear.
Keisha Moné Murray-Hayes will be deeply missed and forever cherished. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the love, laughter, and light she brought into our lives, carrying her spirit forward with each passing day.
