Kegan was born on January 4, 1979, in the beautiful town of Oceanside, New York, to his loving parents, Flave Harris Mooney Jr. and Jessie Mooney. He was blessed with a large and supportive family that included his siblings, Carl Harris Mooney III, Rashau Mooney, Dequan Mooney, and Taykima Mooney, all of whom he shared countless cherished memories with.
Kegan's life was further enriched by his four wonderful children: Kasia, Alyssa, Devante, and Assada Mooney, who were his pride and joy. His love for them was boundless, and he took immense pride in watching them grow and achieve their dreams.

Beyond his professional life, Kegan was a passionate and accomplished chess player. The game was more than a pastime for him; it was a way to connect with others, strategize, and challenge himself.
