With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keelan Taylor Baker, who left this world peacefully at his home on July 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with COPD. Born on September 25, 1967, in Gravette, Arkansas, Keelan lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to family and friends. Keelan was the beloved son of the late Logan Porter Baker and Emma Jane Baker. He was predeceased by his sister, Vickey Shields, and brother, Kelly Baker. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in his surviving children: Heather Altman, Dustin Altman, Jarod Baker, Logan Baker, and Vanessa Huff. Keelan’s spirit also lives on in his eight cherished grandchildren: Kelby, Kayden, Tiegan, Lucas, Justin, Xavier, Zaden, and his sweet Bella, all residing in Carthage, Missouri. Educated in Jay, Oklahoma, Keelan was an active participant in track and football, showcasing his vibrant energy and teamwork from a young age. He carried these qualities into his career as a general laborer, where he worked diligently in poultry, construction, and landscaping industries. Keelan’s life was a testament to the simple joys of living. He found immense pleasure in fishing, camping, and exploring the world around him. With a keen eye for discoveries, he enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and mushrooms, gardening with care, and caving. Whether walking through the woods or riding on dirt roads, Keelan cherished every moment of connection with nature. His love for engaging conversations with family and friends was a hallmark of his character. Known for his upbeat and happy disposition, Keelan had a kind and loving heart. His understanding nature and patient demeanor brought joy and happiness to everyone he encountered. A visit with Keelan was an experience filled with warmth and laughter, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. As we remember Keelan, we hold dear his memory and the beautiful life he led.
