October 7, 1994 — June 29, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kayun Pittman, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on June 29, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on October 7, 1994, in the welcoming town of Picayune, Kayun's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a deep connection to family and friends. Kayun was the cherished son of Sherie and Vincent Robinson, as well as Alvin and Tracy Pittman, Jr. He was a beacon of joy and warmth, who touched the lives of all who knew him with his generous spirit and infectious smile. Kayun's legacy is carried forward by his three sons, Kayson Pittman, Karter Pittman, and Chancellor Jones, who will continue to embody the qualities of kindness, strength, and compassion that he so beautifully exemplified. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Stephanie Washington, who stood by his side as a source of unwavering support and love. Kayun's siblings, Portia Travis, Zyriea Pittman, Chelsee Pittman, Niketa Robinson, Tamecia Tatum, Latresa Woodward, and Azariya Robinson, along with his brothers, Ayden Harmon, Joseph Woodward, and Zaylen Robinson, share in the sorrow of his loss, yet also in the joy of the countless memories they created together. Kayun was a devoted uncle to his niece, Jaidyn Guy, and nephew, Jourdan Travis, bringing light and laughter into their lives. His extended family includes a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who mourn his loss and celebrate the enduring impact of his life. His bonus-siblings, Takiyah Williams and Demetrious "Toon" Mitchell, were also an important part of his life, sharing in moments of joy and camaraderie. Predeceased by his grandparents, Dorothy and Alvin Pittman, Sr., and great-grandparents, Ada Lee and Herbert Thomas, and Bennie James Bonner, Kayun is now reunited with them, embraced by the love and peace that transcends this world. A celebration of Kayun's life will be held on July 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Weems Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 810 E Third St. This gathering will honor the vibrant spirit and profound love that Kayun shared with all who knew him. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the words shared by his family: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kayun's memory to a charity of your choice, as a testament to his generous spirit and enduring legacy. Kayun Pittman will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were privileged to know and love him.
