Kay Francis Muller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kay Francis Muller, who left this world peacefully on August 10, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on April 11, 1940, in Parker, South Dakota, Kay was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Kay was the cherished daughter of Ellen and Edward DeBoer. Her journey through life was one marked by profound love and enduring relationships. In her youth, she found her soulmate in Walden B. Muller, whom she met in high school in Walla Walla, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and three wonderful children: Wally, Marla, and Michael. A devoted homemaker, Kay dedicated her life to raising her family. Her home was a sanctuary of love, where the aroma of her cooking filled the air, and holiday traditions created cherished memories. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she nurtured them with a boundless affection that knew no limits. Kay's passions extended beyond her family. She was an aficionado of classical music and ballet, with "The Nutcracker" holding a special place in her heart. Her love for travel took her and Walden on numerous adventures, including a dream vacation to Paris. She also found joy in the simple pleasures of camping with her family, embracing the beauty of nature with open arms. Kay possessed a spirit of generosity that touched many lives. Her unconditional love and strength of spirit were the hallmarks of her character. She was a woman of grace and kindness, whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the special angels in Kay's life: Tim and Kerry Coulter of Helena, whom she affectionately called "Her kids," and who lovingly called her "Mom." The family also wishes to thank cousin Juilene in Florida for her unwavering support, and Jessica D'Arcy for her readiness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. There are many others whose lives she touched in meaningful ways, and they know who they are. Kay's legacy of love and kindness will forever be etched in our hearts. She leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will be deeply missed.
