Kay Cheryl Beeks-Pincuspy, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many, departed from this world on May 30, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on April 21, 1950, in Iowa City, Iowa, Kay was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and adventure that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kay was the treasured daughter of John C. Beeks and Shirley (nee Hobert), both of whom preceded her in death. Raised in a family that valued education and compassion, Kay carried these principles throughout her life. She was a dedicated research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Department of Medical Education, where her work played an integral role. Her passion for education extended beyond her professional life as she devoted time to working with foreign students at Hinsdale Central High School, enriching their lives and embracing the diversity they brought to her community.
Kay married the love of her life, Richard S. Pincuspy, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and respect. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard, her sons Stephen (Cerina) Pincuspy and Thomas Pincuspy, and her brother Michael (Debbie) Beeks. Her legacy continues in the lives of her cherished grandchildren: Avery, Aubree, Alva, Quora, Flynn, Maple, and Oliver, all of whom were a constant source of joy and pride for her.
Kay’s zest for life was evident in her love for the outdoors. She found peace and happiness in nature, whether it was fishing, canoeing, camping, biking, or hiking. An avid skier, Kay was a proud member of the Piccadilly Ski Club, where she formed lifelong friendships on the slopes. Her adventurous spirit was unmatched, and she found immense joy in traveling, particularly in her motorhome, exploring new places and creating lasting memories.
Her radiant smile and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. Kay's life was a testament to the beauty of living fully, embracing every moment, and finding joy in the simple pleasures. She was a woman of incredible strength and grace, whose kindness knew no bounds.
Kay Cheryl Beeks-Pincuspy's departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory will be celebrated and cherished by all who knew her. The family invites those who wish to honor Kay's life to a memorial service, details of which will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kay’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
As we say goodbye to Kay, we hold onto the love she shared, the lessons she imparted, and the countless memories that will keep her spirit alive in our hearts forever.
