Kaulana kaimana ManaBoy Santos
March 23, 2011 — March 17, 2026
With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of our beloved Kaulana Kaimana ManaBoy Santos, who departed this world on March 17, 2026, just days shy of his 15th birthday. Born on March 23, 2011, in the serene town of Wailuku, Hawaii, Kaulana was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kaulana was the cherished son of Gary Santos and Makialani Ke'opuhiwa, both of whom have preceded him in death, alongside the beloved Ke'opuhiwa ohana. Despite these profound losses, Kaulana's spirit remained unyielding, embodying a strength and resilience that inspired everyone around him.
A student at Kalaheo High School, class of 2028, Kaulana was a dedicated and spirited learner, always eager to embrace new challenges. His passion for life extended beyond the classroom, as he was an active member of the Kailua Boxing Organization. The discipline and camaraderie he found in boxing were mirrored in his love for bodyboarding, hunting, fishing, and football—activities that allowed him to explore the vast wonders of the world and the thrill of adventure.
Kaulana's laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those who knew him, a laughter that "still lives in every breeze, in quiet mornings, in swaying trees." His presence was a warm embrace, a guiding light that comforted and inspired. While his footsteps no longer touch this earth, the warmth of his gentle hand remains a constant companion to those who loved him.
To the mentors, friends, and family who shaped his journey, we extend our deepest gratitude. A special acknowledgment goes to Makoa Watson, whose mentorship and kindness left an indelible mark on Kaulana's life. We also wish to thank his football and boxing ohana for their unwavering support and dedication, and his close friend and girlfriend, Leihoku Kamalei Pa'iwa, for the cherished companionship she provided.
A service to honor and celebrate Kaulana's life will be held on April 2, 2026, at 4:30 PM at Norman's Mortuary, located at 105 Waiale Rd. In this gathering, we will come together to remember a young man whose love and light continue to guide us beyond the earthly shore.
In these moments of reflection and sorrow, we find solace in the love that never ends, a love that remains "steady and strong." Though he has journeyed beyond our sight, Kaulana remains forever in our hearts, our beloved son, our guiding light, until the day we meet once more.
Rest in gentle peace, dear Kaulana. Your legacy of love and light will forever illuminate our paths.
