Katrina Bivens

February 17, 1994 — May 9, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katrina Bivens, who departed from this world on May 9, 2026, at the age of 32, after a courageous and determined battle with liver cancer. Katrina left us peacefully, surrounded by the warmth and love of her home in South Fulton, Tennessee, where she was born on February 17, 1994. Katrina was the beloved daughter of Riley Scott and the late Gary Bivens. She was also a cherished sister to Karen Bivens, who survives her, and to her brother, James Bivens, who preceded her in death. In these times of remembrance, we find solace in the enduring legacy of love and kindness that Katrina leaves behind. A proud graduate of South Fulton High School in 2011, Katrina's compassionate nature led her to a career of service, where she found her calling as a caregiver to the elderly at Manor Lake Assisted Services. For five years, she poured her heart into her work, touching the lives of countless individuals with her genuine warmth and unwavering dedication. Such was her devotion that she eventually chose to leave her professional role to provide full-time care for her grandparents, a testament to her selflessness and deep familial love. Katrina's vibrant personality shone through her various hobbies and interests. She was a sassy knitter, whose crochet creations became treasured keepsakes for her family and friends. Her love for small car collecting, particularly Hot Wheels, brought her immense joy, sparking moments of childlike wonder that she shared with those around her. Her kind smile and big heart were her trademarks, and she had an uncanny ability to bring out the best in people. She was known to never turn away a stray, believing that even those abandoned deserved compassion and help. Katrina's life was celebrated in a private ceremony, as was her wish. Though she leaves no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, she leaves behind a close-knit family who will forever cherish her memory: her loving mother, Riley Scott; her devoted sisters, Karen Bivens, Destini Mills, Ashley Freeman, and Jessica Lawson. In honoring Katrina's memory, her family wishes her well on her new journey in heaven, confident that her radiant spirit will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Katrina's name to a local animal shelter or hospice care organization, in keeping with her passion for providing help to those in need, both human and animal. Rest in peace, dear Katrina. Your journey on earth may have ended, but your spirit soars on, and your love remains eternally in our hearts.
