In Loving Memory of Katrenious Katherine McReed Katrenious Katherine McReed, affectionately known to many as Trena, was born on March 25, 1978, in the warm and welcoming community of Athens, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Catherine McReed Thomas and the late Mack McReed. On September 30, 2026, Trena departed this world, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Trena was a proud product of the Athens Clarke County public schools, where she fostered lifelong friendships and a love for learning. Her journey continued as she dedicated herself to a life filled with compassion, kindness, and a generous spirit that touched everyone in her life. A woman of deep faith, Trena was a cherished member of Hill First Baptist Church. Her gentle heart and unwavering kindness radiated throughout her community, making her a beacon of hope and love. Whether it was through her involvement in church activities or her everyday interactions, Trena embodied a spirit of generosity that inspired those around her. Trena's legacy lives on through her beloved family. She leaves behind her cherished sons, Quintonious McReed and Kemorious McReed, who were her pride and joy. She adored her grandchildren, Quintavious "QJ" Daquion McReed, Jr., Blaxton Andre McReed, and Adonis Apollo McReed, and delighted in the light they brought into her life. Her mother, Catherine (Walter) Thomas, continued to be her guiding force, and her siblings—Aretha Rashawn Sims, Abbie Lewis, Louise (Terrance) Chansler, and Lestean McReed—shared an unbreakable bond with her. Trena was also loved dearly by her step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncle, nieces, and nephew, who were all touched by her warmth and generosity. Though Trena is no longer with us, the love and memories she has left behind will continue to comfort those she held dear. Her family and friends will forever cherish the legacy of love and kindness she imparted. A private ceremony will honor Trena's life, allowing her loved ones to gather in remembrance and celebrate the beautiful journey she shared with them. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the spirit of giving and compassion that Trena exemplified throughout her life.
