Katie Lovejoy Lindsey

Katie Lovejoy Lindsey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Mooresville, NC on September 15, 2026. Born on September 3, 1952, in Troy, Alabama, Katie was the cherished daughter of Homer and Florence Pruitt Lovejoy. Katie graduated from Charles Henderson High in Troy, Alabama. Her passion for reading was well known, and many a night she could be found sharing stories and laughter over the phone with friends, often into the wee hours. Katie was predeceased by her loving parents, Homer and Florence, as well as her devoted husband, Steve Lindsey. The love they shared was unwavering and they are now reunited in their final resting place. She was also predeceased by her son, Darren Lindsey, her sisters, Vera Tillery and Sandra Strickland, and her brother, Jerry Lovejoy, each of whom held a special place in her heart and life. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Fitzpatrick, and her husband Bryan, as well as her daughter-in-law, Bridget Lindsey. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Davis Fitzpatrick, Georgia Fitzpatrick, Draven Lindsey, Devin Lindsey, and Dillon Lindsey.
