The daughter of John "Little Foot" Hosier and Brenda Hosier, Kathy was raised with a deep appreciation for her culture and the beauty of the natural world. Her parents instilled in her values that she carried throughout her life: compassion, strength, and an unwavering love for family. Predeceased by her parents, her brother John Hosier II, her son Michael Hosier, and her grandson Michael Hosier II, Kathy's heart endured tremendous loss, yet she remained a beacon of hope and resilience for her family.
Kathy's life was a celebration of simple joys and profound connections. She found immense pleasure in baking delicious treats, nurturing her garden, delving into the pages of captivating books, and expressing her creativity through painting. Always with a twinkle in her eye, Kathy welcomed everyone with open arms, regardless of their journey. Her sweet demeanor and infectious love for life touched the hearts of many, creating a space of warmth and acceptance wherever she went.
Her legacy lives on through her cherished daughters, Debbie Gibson of Fairfield, California, and Georgia Mackert of Northern California, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and strength. Kathy was the proud grandmother to five adoring grandchildren: Ashley Hosier, Kandi Nash, Krystal Stewart, Gary Lee, and Megan Rountree. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on May 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the comfort of her home in Abilene, Texas. The family extends a heartfelt invitation to all who held Kathy dear, encouraging them to honor her memory with stories, laughter, and love.
