It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathleen Kerr Clements, born on September 1, 1953, in Lexington, Virginia. Kathleen departed this world on May 13, 2026, at her cherished home, surrounded by love and warmth.
Kathleen was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Lorainne Bailey, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience. She was a devoted sister to her predeceased sibling, Marlene Davis, and shared a bond of deep affection with her late husband, Leslie Clements. Married on May 1, 2001, in their hometown of Lexington, Kathleen and Leslie enjoyed 25 years of a truly wonderful marriage, built on mutual respect and shared laughter.
A proud alumna of Parry McCluer High School, Kathleen graduated in 1969, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and perseverance. Her career spanned 43 years at Modine in Buena Vista, where she was not only an exemplary employee but also a cherished friend and confidante to many.
Kathleen's life was enriched by her passion for travel and her love for the great outdoors. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome, always quick with a joke or a story that brought smiles to those around her. Her warmth and humor were her trademarks, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her son, Michael Kerr, and her treasured granddaughter, Brooklyn Kerr, who was the light of her life. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A private ceremony to honor Kathleen's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Kathleen's memory consider making a donation to a charity of their choice or extend their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional Hospice care workers who provided comfort and compassion during her final days.
Kathleen Kerr Clements was a beacon of light and laughter, whose spirit will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband and family members gone before her.
