Kathleen "Kat" Danner

December 30, 1952 — August 21, 2026

Kathleen "Kat" Danner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born on December 30, 1952, in York, Pennsylvania, Kat lived a life full of love, laughter, and creativity. Kat was the cherished daughter of Lawrence and Mary Smith, who predeceased her, along with her devoted husband, Ronald (Ron) Danner. She and Ron were joyfully united in marriage in July 2012, a union that brought immense happiness and fulfillment to both their lives. Their love story began at Laugerman Harley Davidson, where Kat worked and where she found her soulmate in Ron. A woman of many talents, Kat was renowned for her artistic flair. As an avid painter and quilter, she created breathtaking masterpieces that brought joy to all who had the privilege of seeing them. Her quick wit and radiant smile were her trademarks, endearing her to everyone she encountered and making her a treasured friend to many. Kat's legacy continues through her loving family, who survive her: her children, Stacey (Mike) Zambito, Eric (Tonya) Post, Stephanie (Shawn) Jenkins and Michael (Jan) Danner; her grandchildren, Katelyn (Zach), Nicholas (Julie), Brittany (Corey), Bailey (Tiffany), Dylan (Samantha), Kyle (Samantha), Chelsea, Brooke (Slavic) Vdov, and Justine (Edu) Mora Danner; and her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Laney, Kai, Carter, Jackson, Lua, Dasha, Jude, and Elana. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Smith, Melinda (Dale) Kornbau, and Wendy Forbes. Each cherished memory they hold of her is a testament to the love and warmth she shared with them. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice & Community Care for the exceptional support and compassion shown to Kat. In her honor, donations may be made to Pink Power, an organization close to her heart. Kat's spirit will live on in the beautiful memories she created, the art she left behind, and the love she instilled in her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will forever be cherished. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm at her daughter Stacey’s home.
