Kathleen Elizabeth Humphrey
September 21, 1949 — June 2, 2026
Kathleen Elizabeth Humphrey, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, after a recent cancer diagnosis. Born on September 21, 1949, in the quaint town of Caliente, Nevada, Kathleen spent her 76 years of life embodying grace, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Grant Muir and Kathleen (English) Foster. She grew up surrounded by love and the values of family, which she carried with her throughout her life. Her brother, Allen, predeceased her, as did her parents.
Kathleen was married to the love of her life, Richel 'Rick' Humphrey, on January 21, 1988. Together, they crafted a life full of shared dreams and unwavering support. Rick's passing left a profound impact on Kathleen, yet she continued to honor his memory through her love and dedication to their family.
Early in her career, Kathleen worked as a talented cosmetologist, where she touched the lives of many with her artistic flair and warm personality. Later, she chose to devote her full attention to her family as a homemaker, nurturing her home with love and creating a haven for her loved ones.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kathleen's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was known for her compassion and her willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her commitment to her faith community was evident in her enduring spirit and generosity.
Kathleen was an avid yard saler, finding joy in discovering hidden treasures and sharing stories with those she met along the way. Her love for animals was equally profound, and she found great joy in the companionship of her furry friends.
Kathleen is survived by her loving daughter, Michele (Ernie) Doren, and her devoted sisters, Pat Jones and Shirley Spurlin. Her legacy continues through her cherished granddaughters, Heather (Chase) Friesen, Marissa Doren, Amberlie (Carson) Newby, and her adored great-grandchildren, Kayson, Henzlee, Keifer, Daxton, Hayes, Ryett, Truett, and Renlee. Her son, Brian Scott Robertson, precedes her in death, and she is now reunited with him and her beloved Rick.
Kathleen's life was a testament to the beauty of love, family, and faith. Her gentle spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. Though services are yet to be determined, her family invites you to celebrate her life by remembering her kindness and the joy she shared with the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kathleen's memory, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
May her soul find peace and comfort in the eternal embrace of those who went before her, and may her legacy of love continue to inspire us all.
