In Loving Memory

Kathleen Marie (Kathy) Revak
August 15, 1949 — July 17, 2026
Kathleen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home. Born on August 15, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Helen and sister to her predeceased sister, Janet. Kathleen's journey was marked by strength, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
A proud graduate of Sto-Rox High School, Kathleen initially pursued a career in accounting and bookkeeping. However, it was her 25 years as a newspaper delivery carrier for the San Diego Union Tribune that truly reflected her hardworking spirit and tenacity. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her family, particularly as a single mother to her daughter, Michelle DeAngelo. Kathleen's strength as a mother set a powerful example, teaching her daughter to strive for happiness and success.
Kathleen's heart was always open to others, especially those in need. She extended her compassion to single mothers, offering them shelter and a path out of difficult circumstances. Her empathy and courage were further exemplified when she triumphed over Stage 4 cancer in 2011, living the rest of her life in remission.
In her personal life, Kathleen found joy in the simple pleasures. She cherished moments spent with her family, listening to the timeless tunes of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, enjoying meals at Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse, and the occasional indulgence at Sycuan Casino. Whether it was a cold beer or a salty margarita, Kathleen knew how to savor life's little delights.
Kathleen is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle DeAngelo, and her son-in-law, Michael DeAngelo. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Talon, London, and Mia (married to Aaron), and her great-grandchildren, Robin, Everleigh, and Colt. She also leaves behind her loving brothers, Robert (Butch) Revak and Paul (Rick) Revak, as well as her nieces and nephew, Nicole, Erin, Megan, Kristine, and Michael.
The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to her hospice nurse Stephan and her doctor, Sophy, whose compassionate care and guidance were invaluable during Kathleen's final journey. Together, they ensured that her passing was as beautiful and peaceful as her life was rich and full.
A private funeral service will be held on August 15, 2026, honoring Kathleen's memory and celebrating her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice or to help establish a financial legacy, a "Trump Account" (IRA/college fund), for her cherished great-grandchildren, Robin, Everleigh, and Colt.
Kathleen's family takes solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will remain in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, dear Kathleen, may you rest in eternal glory.
