In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Katherine White, who passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2026, at the age of 62. Katherine was born on December 9, 1963, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Garfield and Marie Sanks. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and enduring spirit. Katherine was raised in a lively household, filled with the love and camaraderie of her large family. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Garfield and Marie, as well as her brothers, Theodis, Findia, Charlie, Smith, and Humble Sanks, and her sisters, Irene Sanks and Laura Sanks-McKever. Her children, Janice Jackson and Anthony White, also preceded her in passing, leaving a void in her heart that she carried with grace and resilience. Katherine's life was a testament to strength and compassion. She navigated life's challenges with unwavering faith and an open heart, qualities that she instilled in her surviving family members. Her legacy lives on through her brother, Willie Sanks, and her children, Dorothy White-Jenkins and Charlie White. She was a devoted grandmother to Carlton White, Catherine White, Bridget White, and Jamal Homer, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. A nurturing presence, Katherine also leaves behind nine beloved nieces and nephews: Byron White, Nadia Pruitt, McKayla Pruitt, Briana Pruitt, Perys Pruitt, Nyree Pruitt, Emoni Jones, Xavier Taylor, and Frankie Leonard. Her extended family of relatives and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and the love she freely gave. Katherine's life was celebrated in a private ceremony held on July 11, 2026, as she wished to be remembered in the hearts of those closest to her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, honoring Katherine's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others. As we say goodbye to Katherine, let us remember her laughter, her dedication to family, and her unwavering love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit lives on in the stories we share and the love that continues to bind us together.
