It is with deep sorrow and enduring love that we announce the passing of Katherine "Kate" Hogan Jameson, a cherished sister, friend, and community member. Kate peacefully departed this world on July 24, 2026, at Harmony at Hockessin, after a brave and lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 75 years old. Kate was born on February 25, 1951, in Wilmington, Delaware, to William P. and Marjorie M. Hogan, who have since predeceased her. Growing up in a loving family, she was blessed with two caring siblings, William Michael Hogan and his wife Roslind Warner, and Elizabeth Hogan King and her husband David Wayne King, who survive her today. In her early years, Kate demonstrated a passion for learning and a zest for life, attributes that led her to pursue higher education. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree, marking the beginning of a journey filled with personal and professional achievements. Kate met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Jameson, and they married in the picturesque surroundings of Sea Isle City, NJ. Together, they built a life rooted in love and shared experiences, until Bob's passing. Their marriage was a testament to the strength of their bond and the depth of their commitment to one another. An avid golfer, Kate excelled in several sports, embracing the spirit of competition and camaraderie. Her quick wit and easy smile endeared her to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought into the lives of those around her. In honoring Kate's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life. While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the wonderful memories she leaves behind, enriched by her kindness and the warmth of her spirit. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers at Harmony at Hockessin, Vitas Hospice, and Nurturing Angels for their compassionate care and support during Kate's final years. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Kate's memory may consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Research Association, an organization close to her heart, in hopes of advancing research and support for those affected by this challenging disease. Kate's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
