It is with both a heavy heart and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Katherine Andrews Miller. Katherine was born on January 8, 1934, in Hinton, West Virginia, and left this world peacefully on March 22, 2026, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was the cherished daughter of Mary Ballard and Rennick Andrews, who instilled in her values of kindness and resilience. She was predeceased by her dear parents, her sister Jenny, her brother R.W., and her adoring husband of more than half a century, William "Bill" Miller. Bill and Katherine were united in marriage in 1960 in Virginia, and together they embarked on a journey filled with love, adventure, and the joy of raising four wonderful children. Katherine is survived by her devoted children: Katherine Woodson (Barry), Susan Clemmer (Daniel), Troy Miller (Johanna), and Carrie Lynn Miller. Her legacy of love extends through her 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a growing number of great-great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the center of her universe. Katherine's greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family, especially in the joyous moments of crafting with her grandchildren. A graduate of the class of 1952, Katherine went on to work as a telephone operator and keypunch operator, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active membership in the Hinton Avenue Methodist Church, where she contributed to the youth ministry for many years, touching countless young lives with her compassion and wisdom. Katherine's personal interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She had a passion for shopping, crocheting, and cooking, often filling her home with the comforting aromas of her culinary creations. Above all, Katherine was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great-grandmother, roles she carried with immense pride and unwavering love. Her deep, unwavering love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew her. A service to celebrate Katherine's remarkable life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Crozet Baptist Church, located at 5804 Saint George Ave, Crozet, VA 22932. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the memory of a woman whose life was a testament to love, family, and faith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hinton Avenue Methodist Church Youth Ministry, in memory of Katherine's enduring commitment to nurturing the next generation. Katherine Andrews Miller's life was a tapestry of love, service, and devotion. She touched the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Bill and family, in the embrace of the Lord.
