Katherine Fay Peyton

Katherine Fay Peyton, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed from this world on November 1, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on January 21, 1968, in the charming town of Danville, Kentucky, Fay was the cherished daughter of Thomas Pete and Sarah Kathy Peyton. She spent her formative years living and working in her hometown. Survivors include her children, Shane (Tiffany) Yocum and Sharonna Yocum. She is also survived by her father, Thomas 'Pete' Peyton, and her brother, Vince Peyton, who will forever remember her as a loving sister and daughter. Fay, affectionately known as "Gran Gran," found a great joy in her role as a grandmother. Her granddaughter —Kensleigh Rayburn— the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her. Grandsons —Bram, Dax, and Roman. Fay had an exceptional talent for making everyone feel welcome and loved. Fay was predeceased in death by her cherished mother, Kathy Peyton, and her granddaughter, Sarah Pike. Their memories were dear to her heart, and she often spoke of them with fondness and love, ensuring their legacies lived on through the stories she shared. A celebration of Fay's life will be held at a later date, the family will be upholding her wishes of cremation. Family, friends, and all whose lives Fay touched are invited to gather and honor her memory then. Her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May Fay rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
