Born on March 6, 1967, in Washington, D.C., Kate was the cherished daughter of Doris and Darell Williams. She was a light in the lives of all who knew her, blessed with a spirit that brightened every room she entered.
Kate was a proud graduate of Annacostia High School, where she first began to cultivate her love for creativity. Her passion for designing, making clothes, and knitting was not just a hobby but a testament to her boundless imagination and meticulous attention to detail. Through her hands, she brought beauty and warmth into the world, leaving behind pieces of art that will be cherished by her family for generations.
Beyond her artistic talents, Kate was known for her incredible sense of humor. She had an unparalleled gift for comedy, always ready with a joke or a witty remark that could lift anyone’s spirits. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to find joy in every situation was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Kate's legacy is lovingly carried on by her family, including her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. With them, she shared her love, wisdom, and the importance of joy and laughter, ensuring that her spirit lives on in each of them.
A service to celebrate Kate's life will be held on July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at J B Jenkins Funeral Home, located at 7474 Landover Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kate are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable woman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Kate's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others.
